Kansas City Restaurant Week-Seasons 52

Sometimes you just need a little girl time and a 3 course lunch.  Closing out restaurant week with a girls lunch was perfect.  We all ate at various restaurants, but came together with a couple of other girl friends for a late lunch, girl talk and wine.  Lot's of wine! #daydrinking

Seasons 52 does seasonal and fresh food and they publish all calorie counts on the menu.  I love the smaller meals and variety!

Bonus-the restaurant week menu included Kim Crawford Pinot Noir for $7 per glass and our waiter poured well.

We started with a trio of flat breads to share.  Pesto chicken was the clear group favorite.  Zesty pesto sauce and juicy pieces of chicken.  We also had steak and mushrooms (heavy on the mushrooms) and roasted roma tomato.  A great start to the menu!

Entree time

Several of us went for the mahi mahi tacos.  The mahi was perfectly cooked and the sauces that accompanied the tacos really complimented the flavors of the mahi.  3 tacos for a lunch portion...yes, please!!

Another group favoritee was the BBQ Chicken Salad.  Consensus=delicious!  Lots of actual barbecue flavor, lots of chicken and blue cheese really made this a hearty entree salad.  The presentation may have been our favorite.  It arrived in a glass tube and then when the tube was removed, it ensured all of the salad was mixed well.

Last but not least on the entree recap is the Caprese Chicken Sandwich.  Great flavor of a caprese salad, but the was bread overpowering.  The potato salad that came with the sandwich was a warm potato salad topped with bacon.  I mean...who doesn't like bacon?!?!?

Now for the best part-MINI INDULGENCES!!!  Seasons 52 makes little desserts in shot glasses that range from 200-300 calories on average.  I must say, all of them were so great!  Perfect way to end a meal.

A portion of each restaurant week goes to charity, so basically you eat and give back at the same time.  I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than with girlfriends!
