As I sit her watching Mariah's World I'm reflecting on the wonderful Christmas activities we have enjoyed in the past week. As a group we were able to enjoy both craft night with old wine and friendship brunch.
Craft night has evolved over the past several years. Leslie and I started with a trivet utilizing all of the wine corks we had laying around. While that was an excellent craft choice we deemed it overambicious when we almost lost a finger or two creating the masterpiece. Each year the craft has become less difficult and dangerous. Over the past couple of years Maureen has also joined craft night and she brings old wine from her parent's wine cellar. Hence craft and old wine night. This year we declared it an Unfiltered Adventure plus Maureen.
The craft was similar to something my coworkers children made at school but we are still proud of our efforts!
I know the suspense is killing you, the craft was a glorious snowman candle votive. We did learn we must use fake candles when Maureen lit Leslie's little snowman on fire minutes after she placed the finishing touches on him.
Obviously craft night was a huge success!!!
On Saturday we were determined to make it to The Summitt for Friendship Brunch. Determined we were as it was snowing and the parking lot was tretorous! The bottomless mimosas were no joke; where there's a will there is a way.
The Buffett was surprisingly great. The bacon was literally the best thing ever & the Mac & Cheese was the 2nd best thing ever.
The bottomless mimosas were just that. It was like a magic show, one sip & your glass was full again. That made everyone happy!
The brunch was topped off by placing bets on Lacey and Corey's baby boy or girls delivery date. I feel really good about the six bets I made!
We had a great turnout and a good time was had by all. Just look at this group!
The holidays bring happiness for so many reasons, we hope you find your happiness as well.
Cheers to making memories this holiday season.
