Cocktails are the appropriate way to start a weekend!! We used our passports one more time and headed to the Drum Room to kick of a great weekend. The Drum Room is a bar in the Hilton President Hotel-it is tiny and a little swanky. Perfect happy hour stop if you are in downtown KC and don’t want to go to Power and Light. I started with some champs and St. Germaine and that is a fabulous mixture! A little sweet and bubbly. Steph went for the Old Fashioned again to start and I think we all agreed that it was pretty delicious! We tried lots of different cocktails (to be detailed in our Passport Program recap) before heading to the next place.
We popped over to the Reserve at the Ambassador Hotel for our next stop. It was very fancy!! Wine was the special there and I think everyone was pleased. We decided to wait out the torrential down pour with one more glass before calling it a night.
Saturday was the 5th Annual Beer Olympics. Get ready for picture overload!!
Andrea had her company pool party, so Cody filled in for her.
Each year our lovely friends/hosts with the most, Justin and Janelle, invite everyone to their house for a day filled with fun competition and the winners even get sweet medals!!
Wet Tri-includes slip n slide, spin 5 times on a bat and hit a ball, flip cup. Can we talk about how awesome Kristi looks in her cape?? Hello super hero!
This year was the biggest yet!! So many people came to participate and it was a blast as always!!
Of course we were well represented in the medal count!! Go team!
Continuing with the sports theme-I drug my husband, Bobby, and Andrea with me to do a 5K on Sunday morning. Head for the Cure was a success!! Bobby rocked it and got 5th in his age group and Andrea kicked butt running!! I rode the struggle bus, but finished in a respectable time. J
Post-race included brunch…aka breakfast with drinks! Sorry Kristi and Steph….we went without you!
Don’t worry though. We all met up later for a fantasy football draft where it was discovered that I have come in last or next to last for the past 5 years or so….is this my year???
Tell us some of your favorite beer olympics games in the comments! Cheers!
