Friday night UA decided to grab wine after a long, hard week of work! We went to one of our favorite places LaBodega. $5 glasses of wine? Yes please! After airing some grievances/stolen identity (eh Canada) from the day/week we went our own ways to "adult" for the night since we had a big weekend ahead of us.
Saturday morning started with the smell of excellence and the promise of a medal. Our friends Justin and Janelle host an annual beer olympics at their place. It started the year they bought their house and has only become more competitive and intense year after year! This was their 6th annual and we prepped with Mexican food and drinks. What happened next was anyone's guess!
Brackets are ready!
Jenna is getting serious!
At the end of the day UA came away with 2 of 2 of the 5 medals given out that day. Props to Leslie who earned her very first gold at the worst game - patio tri (roll dice and drink that amount, next bounce a quarter off a hollow table into a cup and finish by flipping a cup on it's bottom).
After that full day (literally) we decided to get up the next day and go watch the bulk of the 2015 World Champion Royals team play the last game that core group would ever play together. You see we're a small market team and simply won't pay to keep talent after they've hit their prime. So we watched, cried, laughed and applauded the team we've come to love and respect. It couldn't have been a better day with better seats! Thanks Andrea! It's hard to put Sunday into words but I wouldn't trade that game/ experience for anything. Here are some highlights and the official end to summer.
Meh, okay seats.
Hos's first at bat and he hits a dinger!
Moose showing his thanks for being a Royal.
What a crazy summer! Fall is already booked with activities so grab some sweats, a warm beverage and football & join us for Fall.
