Andrea and I set out on a little Branson adventure with the fam last weekend. Have we told you guys we are sister in laws? I married her brother.... Anyway, we dropped our pups off and hit the road! As you can see Bailey was thrilled to have 2 rambunctious house guests for the weekend!
We arrived at the condo to a wonderful new to us treat. Hershey's chocolate on bottom and marshmallows on top....pop it in the oven and ta da....s'mores dip! It was delicious!! This dip is a great option when you don't want to light up the fire pit or if you're like me and always catch your marshmallow on fire and burn it to a crisp!
We got up Saturday to find this beautiful view....coffee at the lake is one of my favorite things! So relaxing!!
Apparently there are ferry boat rides on Table Rock too. We opted to watch from shore!
Andrea's husband Billy is a really good golfer...like really good and you all should follow him on social media. Anyway, he picked a nice course for the guys to play. Obviously-photo cred to Billy. Not even trying to hide that I stole this pic from his Instagram...plus now you guys can find him!
While the guys golfed, we planned to hike....BUT a torrential downpour had other plans. No worries. We made due with some shopping. The rain died down and the condo had a few fun activities to try before we headed back to town for the night. Pool time, sand volleyball, and putt putt (because the guys hadn't played enough golf) filled out our afternoon. Let's just say we didn't keep score on any activity, but I'm pretty sure Andrea and I dominated putt putt...or maybe we dominated sitting in the pool...same!
After all of the activities, we were STARVING! Landry's Seafood is a chain with good seafood...so I basically ordered it all in one platter. Nom, nom, nom!
Ready for the show! Branson is known for live music shows so they are a must when you go!! We went to Legends in concert. The performers included:
Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift-both definitely not legends.
The Blues Brothers from SNL-the guys were hilarious and they had been practcing a lot. They were dead on with the SNL videos of the originals.
Johnny Cash-he looked exactly like the Man in Black. It was amazing!
Last but certainly not least...Elvis! This guy was great and so much fun!! Apparently he has even won impersonation contests. (did anyone know those are a thing??)
I know what you're thinking...can anything top Elvis? Well, the answer is yes. Bike riding in Dogwood Canyon can. It was blast!
A few off road excursions and a bike chain malfunction didn't stop our fun! We rented cruisers and rode all over the canyon and finished right before more rain!
After a great trip, it was time to unwind and prep for the week...what better way than wine and Olympics? USA! USA!
